The Photo Shoot
Your photo shoot is relaxed, natural, and fully guided. I’ll direct you every step of the way so you never have to wonder what to do—while capturing genuine connection, sweet details, and timeless images.
Choose & Order
Your reveal session is the final (and most exciting) step. We begin with a personalized film created with your images, then we’ll review your portraits together and you’ll choose your favorites to purchase and enjoy for years to come.

In Studio Maternity & Newborn Photo Shoots
Maternity, newborn, baby, cake-smash and family sessions are offered in our private Glenview studio. We have a wardrobe of gowns and dresses for maternity portraits. We also have a collection of organic blankets, knit wraps, baby bonnets and handcrafted headbands for use for your newborn session. Hair and makeup is available to make sure you feel and look incredible.
Your Newborn’s Safety
This is something we take very seriously. Your newborn’s safety is our top priority. Kristin has years of extensive training and over a decade of working with newborns. We only use safe posing techniques and capture your tiny work of art with the utmost care and respect for your little one and you.

I absolutely love being there for new and expecting moms as they step into the incredible adventure of motherhood. My goal is to make them feel absolutely special because they truly deserve it.
In my journey as an internationally recognized, multiple award-winning portrait photographer, I’ve had the privilege of leading and guiding a wonderful team for the past decade. We’ve got lots of people working behind the scenes-but I am the one who is behind the camera 100% of the time, and love it.
Before I delve into the world of motherhood and newborn photography, I actually started out teaching Kindergarten and 3rd grade. But once I found my passion for working with mothers and babies, there was no turning back! It’s what I was meant to do.

I want more than just digital images. What do you offer?
We offer multiple artwork options including frames, albums, books, museum-grade canvases, and prints. You may choose your size and style based on the style and decor of your home.
I need help selecting the best items for the walls in my house, can you help?
Absolutely! Together we’ll measure and select the best wall art to fit your wall size and home decor. You will be presented with various options, sizes, and styles.
Can I purchase all of my images?
Yes, you absolutely can.
Where will my newborn session be?
We can either shoot your newborn session in my private North Shore studio complete with props, clothing, headbands, gorgeous wraps, and everything a new mom and baby should need.
Or the session may be held in your home, which reflects the style and experience of welcoming a new baby into your life. We will discuss both of these options and choose what is closest to the vision you have for your session.
Where are family and baby/child sessions done?
These sessions can be done in our North Shore studio, in your home, or outdoors on location.
I want to have the newborn session in the studio but I’m not sure I will be ready to leave my house.
I know firsthand how challenging this new experience can be. I also know that this may be one of your first outings other than visiting the pediatrician with your new baby. I can assure you that we have everything here for you and your baby. If you forget anything, I’m certain we’ll have it. I will take care of everything for you.
I just had my new baby and can’t imagine getting in front of the camera.
I know just how exhausted you will be, I have been there myself! I am going to make our session with your baby as seamless as possible. You don’t even have to look at the camera if you don’t want. I will tell you exactly what to do and all you will need to do is listen to my voice. It will be very private. In addition, I am a fully trained expert so we will make sure the images look exactly the way you feel, not the way you think you look. And of course, the decision is always yours. You will surprisingly feel more beautiful than you thought was possible after having a baby.
How should I dress for the session?
During your free phone consultation, we will discuss this and many other details to craft the session around your family. The environment, the feeling of the shoot, and your attire are all very important details that contribute to beautiful portraiture. I make style suggestions and you are never left to plan it alone. We’ll be in touch the entire time leading up to your session to make sure you feel beautiful and prepared.
How long is a typical session?
Newborn and family sessions typically last about 1 hour. We will take family and sibling images in the very beginning so the rest of the session will be focused on baby.
How soon will I see proofs from my session?
Within 24 hours from your session I will be in touch by email to schedule your Reveal & Ordering session. The Ordering session will be scheduled for 2 weeks from the date of your session.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Absolutely. A gift certificate is yhr perfect gift for someone wanting to experience a session. Gift certificates are quite popular.
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely. They are quite popular, and we design a payment plan that is right for you.
How can I make sure my kids are smiling and have a great experience?
Well-rested and well-fed children are ready to play and have fun! We’ll make sure your session falls during a time when your children won’t be hungry for dinner or groggy from a nap. If they feel like the shoot is part of their natural playtime, your images will burst with energy. Enthusiastically describe the activities in the days leading up to the session. If your kids see you looking forward to the session, chances are that they will too.
Do you have location suggestions for our session?
Absolutely. I suggest certain locations where I know exactly how the light falls, where, and at what time of day. Beautiful light is critical to portraiture and I know where to find it. Should you have a location in mind, we will discuss this during the Pre-Consultation. I am always open to new locations and will also tell you if a location will be less than ideal.
